Testing High Definition (HD)Videoconferencing (August 2007)

The CLTWG is leading the High Definition Videoconferencing Pilot Project, a BCNET initiative to implement high definition (HD) videoconferencing systems for provincial cabinet offices in Vancouver and Victoria. The project will also employ HD videoconferencing at some of BCNET's member institutions. These new HD videoconferencing systems will demonstrate the use of leading-edge videoconferencing technology over super broadband networks.

HD Videoconferencing enables an almost there, "in person" experience facilitating more productive and interactive meetings.
