Refurbished and redesigned, BCNET is launching a new Corporate Partner Program, packed with unique opportunities for corporate technology organizations to collaborate and build strategic relationships in the academic and research community.

Our aim is to build winning relationships. We seek partners who are interested in helping to shape the future of advanced Internetworking technologies and its applications; in turn, BCNET provides a foundation for collaboration among academia, industry and government. Corporate partners have opportunities to create new relationships with key decision makers, executive level contacts, leading scientists and researchers at over 30 key BC research and education members including BC’s top universities, institutes, hospitals and research facilities.

Build Market Intelligence

Through our Corporate Partner Program, new partners will get closer to tomorrow’s marketplace by understanding how and why organizations adopt new technologies and applications. They will learn how university academics at BC’s top universities are actually using new technology and gain a better understanding of future market needs and requirements.

Access a Technology Test bed

High-performance BCNET networks provide an advanced test bed for new network applications, services, and capabilities. As part of the BCNET community, partners are able to collaborate with BCNET and its members on applications for research and education and have opportunities to showcase new and emerging technologies to influential committees and BCNET members. For example, BCNET develops communities of interest for applications such as Grid Computing, videoconferencing, identity management, security and disaster recovery as well as network planning and advisory committees.

Access to Early Adopters in Advanced Media

BCNET members are already experiencing the gigabit broadband future with the ability to develop advanced media applications over advanced networks. Universities are exploring ways to replace their aging telecommunications infrastructures, while the telephone industry is in the early stages of dramatic changes to the way that voice services are delivered. BCNET corporate members have an opportunity to be there at the start of this communications revolution.
