Innovative Thinkers Wanted!
Do you know of an applications wizard who has yet to be “discovered”?
If you can identify a student who has created a really unique online application that you think will make a difference in their field of study, then BCNET wants to hear about it.
BCNET’s Coolest Applications Contest offers an opportunity for students to win HUGE cash prizes and see their hard work showcased for business, government and academic professionals.
BCNET’s 2006 Coolest Applications Contest
Continuing the BCNET tradition of promoting excellence and innovation within the research and education community, the third annual BCNET Coolest Applications Contest seeks to recognize and reward students from across British Columbia who have created unique online applications that are using BCNET’s high-bandwidth research networks.
Turning Ideas into MONEY
With BCNET’s Coolest Applications Contest – students can win HUGE cash prizes and get significant exposure for their work. Winners from last year’s competition received cool cash prizes provided from BCNET’s contest sponsors.
And, that’s not all. Winners will also get significant exposure for their work – through an intimate presentation to an Adjudication academic panel and through a presentation to over 300 researchers and academics at the 2006 BCNET Advanced Networks Conference. As well, we will highlight their success through the BCNET website, newsletter and media releases – thus opening doors to potential job opportunities, research grant opportunities and opportunities to meet future clients.
